The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Volkov moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Volkov throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Casamayor.
Volkov scores with a hook to the body. Casamayor takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Casamayor closes this distance looking for a takedown but Volkov circles away.
Volkov fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Casamayor looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Volkov forces Casamayor back against the cage and clinches.
Volkov is defending well against a takedown attempt.

Volkov scores with a sloppy right hand. Casamayor should have avoided that one.
Casamayor takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Volkov lands a nice shot that snaps Casamayor's head back.
Casamayor moves forwards but Volkov connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Volkov wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

Casamayor shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Casamayor showed some decent athleticism there.

Casamayor is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Casamayor wants to pass the guard but Volkov is defending well.

Casamayor is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
