Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Alzra Necromancer!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Gino Abate!
The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, John Kavanagh and Reed Andrews.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Abate stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Abate wants it to stay on the feet.
Abate moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Abate feints a jab promting Necromancer to slip. Abate then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Necromancer slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Necromancer shoots in but no luck this time.
Gino Abate seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Necromancer takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Abate lands a jab-cross combination.
Abate throws a wild body kick that Necromancer sees coming a mile off.
Necromancer shoots in and drives through. Abate sprawls well.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Alzra Necromancer. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Abate works Necromancer's body with a nice hook.
Abate throws a nice looking combination but Necromancer bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Abate misses with a double jab.
Abate throws a nice outside leg kick.
Abate throws a series of punches but Necromancer avoids them all with ease.
Abate works over Necromancer's head and body with a nice combination.
This has been an exciting period of action!

and Necromancer counters with a takedown into side control.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Necromancer is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Abate is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Necromancer thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Abate pushes Necromancer away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Necromancer gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Necromancer has hold of Abate's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Abate tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Necromancer cranks the arm and Abate screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Abate, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:54 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Alzra Necromancer!
Alzra Necromancer decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
