Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Clubber Lang (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and George Inglis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). George Inglis has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Clubber Lang!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, George Inglis!
The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Summer Carpenter and Damien Edna.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Inglis displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Lang.

Lang feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Lang would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Inglis working for a triangle but Lang defends it easily.
Inglis is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Lang distracts Inglis with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

Lang got a little sloppy there for a moment and Inglis has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Lang has managed to get both his arms back between Inglis's legs - danger averted.

Lang loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Lang is looking to pass into half guard but Inglis pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Inglis is in guard.

Lang is trying to control Inglis's posture but Inglis avoids it.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

Inglis is looking to clinch but Lang is avoiding it.
Inglis scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Inglis lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Inglis wants to clinch.
Inglis fails with a takedown attempt.
The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.

Lang shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Inglis manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Inglis not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Inglis throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Lang trying to control but Inglis is working from the bottom.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Inglis is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

We're going to have a standup here because Clubber Lang wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Inglis fails with a takedown attempt.
Clubber Lang has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of George Inglis.
Lang leaves Inglis with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Clubber Lang will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Lang decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
Lang tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Inglis paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Inglis tries to sprawl but Lang drives through with a takedown into half guard.

Lang lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Inglis tries to roll over but Lang keeps him under control.
Lang trying to mount his opponent but Inglis defends it.
Inglis is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.
Lang trying to control from half guard but Inglis is working away.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Clubber Lang wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Lang stuffs the takedown attempt from Inglis. Inglis gets slowly back to his feet.
Inglis stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Inglis wants it to stay on the feet.

and Lang counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Inglis is breathing heavily.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Inglis lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Lang!
Lang is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Inglis looking to ground and pound but Lang is blocking nicely.

Inglis can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Lang is looking to escape.
Lang is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Inglis manages to capitalize on a mistake by Lang to take his back!
Inglis has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Lang's body.

Lang covering up well under a barage of strikes.

Inglis looking for the choke but no joy.

Inglis is working hard for the rear naked choke here.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Clubber Lang dominated that second round.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!



Lang closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Lang is looking to advance position but Inglis won't allow it.
Inglis is staying active underneath Lang, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Lang thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Inglis's head.
Lang tries to stand but can't do so whilst Inglis controls his leg.
Inglis controlling the position well.
Lang prevents Inglis from improving his position.

Inglis taking some punishment here, with Lang in his half guard.
Lang tries to pass to full mount but Inglis defends it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Lang is looking for a kimura but Inglis is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Lang to get the leverage.
Lang misses with a head shot. Inglis uses the momentum to regain guard.

Inglis has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Lang can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Inglis takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Inglis working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Lang doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Lang manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Inglis keeping moving, preventing Lang from controlling successfully.
Clubber Lang is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Lang stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Inglis swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Lang trying to control the position from guard on top but Inglis is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

We're going to have a standup here because Clubber Lang wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
No luck for Inglis with that takedown attempt.

Lang moves into the clinch.

Lang jumps guard and drags Inglis to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Lang is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Clubber Lang overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Lang pulls Inglis in close to prevent any damage.

And that's the end of the fight!
Clubber Lang showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Lang, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Clubber Lang tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
