Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Gavin Rees (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fritz Haarmann (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Gavin Rees!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Fritz Haarmann!
The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Illya Tyunina and Valeri Chadov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Haarmann getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Rees misses with a takedown attempt
enabling Haarmann to counter with a crisp jab.
Rees shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Haarmann pinned against the cage. Haarmann gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Rees fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Gavin Rees. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Haarmann scores with a nice strike.
Rees fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Haarmann avoids it really well and circles away.
Rees could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Rees has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Rees there as he acknowledges the shot.
Rees shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Haarmann defends it nicely.
Rees takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Rees looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Rees on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Haarmann is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Rees shoots in but no luck this time.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Rees.
Rees fails with a takedown attempt.
Rees takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Haarmann is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Rees had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
Donk. Haarmann catches Rees right on the button with a cross.
Rees looks for a takedown but Haarmann sprawls well.
The crowd cheers as Haarmann lands an impressive looking overhand right. Rees doesn't seem phased though.
Haarmann connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Rees's hands.
A lazy left from Haarmann finds it's target.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Haarmann scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
Nice cross by Haarmann.
Rees fails to land the takedown.
Haarmann might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
Haarmann cracks Rees with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Nice sprawl there from Haarmann as Rees shoots in.
Rees walks into a left hand.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
A left lands for Haarmann.
Fritz Haarmann is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Rees throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Haarmann's waist but Haarmann gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Rees off to one side.
Rees shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Haarmann as he jumps to the side.
Rees is breathing heavily.
Haarmann lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Haarmann looks to land a combination. Rees sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Rees on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Rees looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Haarmann scores with a crisp jab that stopped Rees in his tracks.
Haarmann works the jab nicely.
Gavin Rees seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Haarmann, as that shot connected.
Haarmann moves into range and connects with a jab.
Haarmann feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Reess jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Rees looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that.
Rees fails with the takedown.
Rees tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Haarmann swivels and escapes.
Haarmann feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Reess jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Rees. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
A cross from Haarmann lands.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Rees is defended easily by Haarmann.
Rees shoots in for a takedown but Haarmann shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Haarmann lands with a hook. Rees tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

Rees darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

Rees is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Haarmann doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Rees.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Haarmann is defending against the submission attempts here by Rees.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Rees maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Haarmann could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Rees has cracked it and Haarmann is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Rees!
