Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Sub Zero (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and J Blunts (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Blunts comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Meek Mill - Polo & Shell Tops kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 20 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Sub Zero!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 28 - 14 - 2, fighting out of Las Vegas, J Blunts!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Don Winkell and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zero tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Blunts is able to avoid easily.
Zero's jab looks to have found its range, popping Blunts under the eye.
Zero tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Zero tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Blunts looks to land a right hand but Zero moved out of range.
Zero throws a push kick but Blunts slaps the foot to one side.
Blunts fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.

Zero gets caught flat footed, as Blunts shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Blunts is stalling in the full guard.
Blunts trying to control but Zero is working from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Blunts pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Zero is keeping the position for now.
Blunts stopping the sweep attempt from Zero.

Blunts trying to control the position from guard on top but Zero is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Zero looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Blunts passes into half guard.
Zero slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.

Zero manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Blunts manages to get himself to full guard.

Zero wants to control from the top but Blunts keeps moving.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Blunts looking to hit a scissor sweep but Zero is one step ahead there.
Blunts is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Zero accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Zero postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.

Blunts has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Zero has passed into side control.
Blunts is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Blunts is pressing down on Zero's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Zero loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Blunts can't keep his opponent in guard - Zero advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Zero thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Blunts's head.
Blunts wants to improve his position but Zero is controlling well.

Zero trying to control the action but Blunts is working from the bottom.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Blunts is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Zero's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Zero's back!
Zero rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
Zero is trying to get back to full guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Blunts missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Blunts is trying to control the action in half guard but Zero is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Zero wants to control but Blunts is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Blunts is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Zero has managed to free his arm - good work.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Zero moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Sub Zero will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Blunts checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Blunts throws an overhand right that lands on Zero's shoulder, as Zero tries to avoid the shot.
Zero throws a leg kick
and Blunts makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Zero really felt that one!
Blunts throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Zero throws a leg kick but Blunts sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Blunts throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Zero.
Blunts throws a head kick that misses.
Zero waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Blunts.
Sub Zero is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Blunts tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Zero was well out of range. Poor timing from Blunts.
Zero takes a kick to the side of the head.
Zero shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Blunts defends it nicely.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Blunts does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Blunts drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Zero manages to get back to half guard.
Zero is looking to improve his position.
Zero has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Blunts is working away from the top position though.
Blunts passes to full mount!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Blunts controlling his opponent.
Blunts wants to control the pace but Zero is squirming around nicely.
Zero tries to hold on but Blunts pushes him away.
Blunts lands a heavy elbow.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Blunts wants to control the pace but Zero is squirming around nicely.
Blunts prevents Zero from getting the reversal.
Blunts looking to finish Zero with some ground and pound. This is bad for Zero!
Zero is trying desperately to improve position.
Blunts can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Zero is looking to escape.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
The referee warns Zero that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Blunts lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Zero sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
J Blunts has got the better of the ground game so far.
Blunts prevents Zero from improving his position.
Blunts looks to score some points with some ground and pound.

Blunts is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Blunts winds up and cracks Zero with a swinging punch to the side of the head.


Zero is rocked!
Blunts lands a big elbow - Zero is out of it! He's waving his arms around but his eyes are closed and he's not intelligently defending himself - the ref has no choice but to jump in and stop the fight! This one is in the books! A TKO win for Blunts!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:58 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). J Blunts!
Our winner, J Blunts, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
