Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Mohammad Al Nasser!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Money Monster!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, Colin Fotheringham and Sam Margolis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Al Nasser fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Monster avoids it really well and circles away.

Monster drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Al Nasser looking for a sweep. Not yet Al Nasser, not yet.
Monster with a flurry of punches that miss.
Al Nasser wants to sweep but no luck.
Al Nasser is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Al Nasser keeping moving, preventing Monster from controlling successfully.
Monster pushes down on Al Nasser's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Al Nasser wants to improve his position but Monster is controlling well.
Monster trying to control from half guard but Al Nasser is working away.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Money Monster hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

and Monster counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Monster.

Monster trying to control the position from guard on top but Al Nasser is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Al Nasser is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Al Nasser can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Monster controls the pace.
Monster trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Monster is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Monster trying to control the position from guard on top but Al Nasser is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

Money Monster has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Monster throws a low kick, looking for Al Nasser's leg but Al Nasser calmly moves out of range.

Monster manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Al Nasser on his heels. He'll look to pass Al Nasser's guard now, I'm sure.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Monster looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

That's time! Al Nasser's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.



Monster closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Al Nasser to the mat! Al Nasser manages to get full guard.
Monster stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Al Nasser swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Monster wants to control from the top but Al Nasser keeps moving.
Monster advances to half guard.
Money Monster has got the better of the ground game so far.
Monster thows a huge punch but Al Nasser dodges it nicely.
Al Nasser tries to get to full guard but Monster has control of the leg.
Monster is pressing down on Al Nasser's thigh, looking to free his foot. Al Nasser is holding on for now.

Al Nasser is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Monster pulls his head out easily.

Al Nasser wants to control but Monster is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Monster controlling the action here.
Monster seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Al Nasser does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Al Nasser throws a sloppy strike from the bottom. He's now off balance and Monster manages to pass to side control.

Monster tries to move to mount but Al Nasser blocks the move with his legs.

Monster thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Al Nasser sneaks back into half guard.
Monster controlling the pace.

Monster is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
The fighters are battling for position here. Al Nasser manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Al Nasser wants to get back to his feet but Monster is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Monster's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Al Nasser utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Monster trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Monster controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Money Monster wasn't active enough on the ground.
Al Nasser avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Al Nasser swats away the attempt to clinch by Monster.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Monster.

Monster closes the distance and clinches up with Al Nasser, looking for a takedown. Monster pushes Al Nasser against the cage but Al Nasser circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Al Nasser uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Monster.
Monster misses with a takedown attempt - Al Nasser sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Money Monster seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Monster shoots in and bounces Al Nasser off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Al Nasser trying to keep a closed guard but Monster is proving a slippery customer.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Monster tries to free his leg and advance position but Al Nasser is retaining full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Money Monster showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!


Monster is looking to clinch.
Al Nasser circles away from the clinch attempt.

Monster closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Al Nasser wants to get back to his feet but Monster drags him back down.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.

Monster is trying to get an arm triangle but Al Nasser is defending well.

Monster decides to stand back up. Monster steps back and let's Al Nasser get back to his feet.
Al Nasser keeps the fight on the outside.
The fight stays on the outside here - Monster looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Monster throws a right hand that Al Nasser ducks under and follows up with a left that Al Nasser also avoids with ease.
Monster takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Al Nasser closes the distance and pushes Monster back into the cage.

Al Nasser wants to get up but he can't break Monster's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Monster had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Al Nasser defends it easily.
Al Nasser slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Monster manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
Monster looks to land a strike but Al Nasser avoids it nicely and regains full guard.

Al Nasser throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.

Al Nasser is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Al Nasser shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Monster but Monster pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Sloppy strikes from Monster. Those never looked like landing.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Monster pulls guard.

Monster pushes Al Nasser off and gets back to his feet.
Mohammad Al Nasser has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Money Monster comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Monster has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
