The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cox shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Cox is trying hard to land a takedown here. Bennet sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Cox fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Cox fakes the leg kick and cracks Bennet in the body.

Bennet has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Cox is trying to keep an underhook but Bennet manages to get the takedown into half guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Rick Bennet wasn't active enough on the ground.
Bennet shoots in looking for a takedown but Cox manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Bennet's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Bennet rushes Cox and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Cox unloads a knee to the mid-section.
Bennet lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Cox backwards.
Bennet keeps control of Cox as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Cox wants to break free but Bennet has control.
