Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ted Lange (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jon Manley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lange misses with a takedown attempt - Manley sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Manley tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Lange swivels and escapes.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Manley enables Lange to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Manley manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Lange tries to score a power double leg takedown but Manley sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Lange somewhat.

Manley feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Langes jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

We're going to have a standup here because Ted Lange wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

Lange gets caught flat footed, as Manley shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Lange looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Manley decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Lange, up you get!
Lange shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Manley but Manley pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Manley looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Lange will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Manley pushes Lange off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
Manley shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Lange sprawls well. Lange wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Manley gets slowly back to his feet.

and Lange counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Manley is lucky that one didn't land flush.
