Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Doctor Greenthumb (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thomas Gunner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Daniel Blasius and Aafke Stam.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Greenthumb misses with a two punch combination.
Greenthumb displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Gunner throws out the jab.

Greenthumb manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Gunner on his heels. He'll look to pass Gunner's guard now, I'm sure.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Gunner is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Gunner feints and then cracks Greenthumb's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Greenthumb down.

Thomas Gunner seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Gunner tries to land a front kick but Greenthumb steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

It looks like Doctor Greenthumb has been cut.
A slow jab from Gunner misses its intended target.

Greenthumb throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Gunner was covering up waiting for the punch and Greenthumb finishes the takedown easily into guard.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

A close round but Thomas Gunner will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Doctor Greenthumb's cut.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Greenthumb throws a body punch but Gunner moves out of range.

Greenthumb shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Gunner is trying to defend but Greenthumb finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Greenthumb is keen to just control but Gunner is a slippery customer.
Greenthumb is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Gunner is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Greenthumb looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Gunner with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

After the fight, Doctor Greenthumb was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
