Pavarez closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

James is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Pavarez's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Pavarez's back!
Pavarez defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of James's arms.
