Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Freddy Bones!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Rendo Gracie!
The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Felipe Paraventi and Leandro Rodrigues.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bones tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Gracie manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Bones misses with a head kick.
Gracie looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Gracie avoids the head kick by Bones.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Gracie.
Gracie closes the distance and clinches up with Bones, looking for a takedown. Gracie pushes Bones against the cage but Bones circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Freddy Bones has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rendo Gracie.

Bones gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Bones tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Gracie stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Bones swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Freddy Bones just wasn't active enough.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Rendo Gracie hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Bones thuds his right hand into Gracie's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

Bones throws a head kick that Gracie semi-blocks.

and Gracie counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Gracie wants to control but Bones is keeping him busy.
Gracie throws a strike but Bones avoids it easily and moves to full guard.
Gracie wants to control from the top but Bones keeps moving.
Gracie sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Bones's guard.

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Bones is staying active underneath Gracie, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Rendo Gracie wasn't active enough on the ground.

Gracie throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Bones was covering up waiting for the punch and Gracie finishes the takedown easily into guard.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Bones tries to close the distance and clinch but Gracie swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

and Bones counters with a head kick that wobbles Gracie - left then right he sways and one more bomb from Bones sends him down. This one is all over!
