PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Dev Vasilios (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ivan Korben (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vasilios comes to the ring accompanied by The xx - Crystalised. On his way into the ring it seems that Dev Vasilios has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Dev Vasilios seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Dev Vasilios!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Ivan Korben!
The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Micheangelo Fripello and Colin Fray.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Korben scores with a takedown into Vasilios's guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Korben tries to free his leg and advance position but Vasilios is retaining full guard.
Korben is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Vasilios has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Korben can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Vasilios escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Korben gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Vasilios is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Korben stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Vasilios swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Vasilios is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Korben defends well.

Vasilios is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Korben frees his head nicely. Oh but Vasilios has switched to an armbar! Korben is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
