Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Rasid Aleksandrov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gordon Brown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Rasid Aleksandrov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Gordon Brown!
The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Fedor Mirinova and Igor Prikhodko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aleksandrov shoots in but no luck this time.
Brown shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Brown wants to clinch up but Aleksandrov keeps it at a distance.
Brown moves in looking to clinch but Aleksandrov pushes him off.
Aleksandrov displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Brown.
Aleksandrov tries to clinch but Brown moves out of range.
Aleksandrov bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Aleksandrov looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Brown throws a nice looking combination but Aleksandrov bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Brown looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Aleksandrov really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Brown shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Brown showed some decent athleticism there.
Aleksandrov wants to sweep but Brown has passed to side control!

That's one minute gone in the round.
Aleksandrov is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
Brown wants to control but Aleksandrov is keeping him busy.
Aleksandrov is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Aleksandrov is not content to let Brown control the position.

Brown tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

Brown stands up.
Aleksandrov shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Brown as he jumps to the side.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rasid Aleksandrov. That's going to take a lot out of him.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Aleksandrov tries to sprawl but Brown drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Aleksandrov has hold of Brown's hands but Brown slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Brown trying to control the pace.
Let's hope that Brown has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Brown is looking for a kimura but Aleksandrov is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Brown to get the leverage.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Brown wants to lay and pray for a moment but Aleksandrov keeps working.

Aleksandrov looking for submissions off his back.
Brown prevents Aleksandrov from improving his position.
Aleksandrov is breathing heavily.
Brown controlling the action here.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Aleksandrov keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Gordon Brown dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Brown is trying hard to land a takedown here. Aleksandrov sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Aleksandrov lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Aleksandrov shoots in looking for a takedown. Brown tries to sprawl out of it but Aleksandrov keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Brown manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Brown throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Aleksandrov tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Brown is in Aleksandrov's guard.

Gordon Brown has got the better of the ground game so far.

Brown trying to control the position from guard on top but Aleksandrov is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Brown stands and throws Aleksandrov's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Aleksandrov gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!
Brown lands with some strikes.
Brown content just to control the position here.

Brown throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! Aleksandrov has his hands clasped together but Brown breaks the hold and Aleksandrov is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Brown!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:47 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Gordon Brown!
