Kawajiri is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Ninja. Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Rambo Kawajiri enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Rambo Kawajiri!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Kenichi Hosakawa and Shigeki Fujiwara.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Mirapthlak shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

Horrible takedown by Kawajiri or perhaps it was just good defense by Mirapthlak which made him look bad.

Mirapthlak working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Kawajiri doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Kawajiri manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Mirapthlak had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Kawajiri defends it easily.

Kawajiri wants to control from the top but Mirapthlak keeps moving.

Kawajiri got a little sloppy there for a moment and Mirapthlak has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Kawajiri has managed to get both his arms back between Mirapthlak's legs - danger averted.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Mirapthlak has momentary wrist control but Kawajiri slips an elbow through the middle.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Mirapthlak has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Kawajiri can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Mirapthlak has his foot on Kawajiri's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Kawajiri works his way back into a safe position though.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Kawajiri. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.
