Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Antonio Davis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Renato Rua (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Davis comes to the cage accompanied by Franz Ferdinand - Ulysses. Antonio Davis could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Renato Rua's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rua throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Davis avoids a kick to the body.
Davis misses the shot to the body.
Davis throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Rua counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Rua lands with a nice body punch.
Davis throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Rua misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Davis.
Rua thuds a left hand into Davis's body.
Rua takes a swing at Davis's ribcage but misses.
Rua misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Davis.
Rua throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Davis stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Davis moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Davis ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Rua moves away.
Davis takes a jab right on the kisser.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Rua is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Rua dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Davis thows a body shot but no joy.
Rua takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Davis throws a looping overhand right but Rua ducks down to avoid it.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Rua changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Davis takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Rua looks to score with a jab to the body but Davis is just out of range.
Rua lands a head kick. Davis smiles back at him and beckons him forward.

It looks like Antonio Davis has been cut.
Davis looks to land a right hand but Rua moved out of range.
Davis lands a jab to the head.
Rua fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Rua tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Davis was well out of range. Poor timing from Rua.
Rua shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Davis eats them both and turns towards Rua to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Davis swings widly with a right hand
and Rua counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Rua feints and then cracks Davis's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Davis down.
Antonio Davis is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Davis walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

Davis is rocked!
Rua lands an uppercut out of nowhere! Davis falls backwards - clearly groggy! Rua dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Renato Rua!
Renato Rua looked relieved post fight as he said the following; 'Yo baby!'.
