The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smyth throws a head kick but Hollywood moves out of range.
Hollywood fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Hollywood!
Smyth throws a hook to the side of Hollywood's head but Hollywood sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Hollywood throws a right and a left that Smyth avoids nicely.
Hollywood connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Smyth momentarily.
Hollywood swinging wildly here.

Smyth has taken the fight to the clinch.
Hollywood is trying to break the clinch but Smyth is controlling him.
Hollywood can't break the clinch.

Hollywood's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Smyth closes the distance and lands a one-two.


It looks like David Hollywood has been cut.

David Hollywood seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Smyth tries to throw a body punch but Hollywood avoids it by throwing Smyth back against the cage.

Hollywood walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.


Hollywood is rocked!
Hollywood moves out of range of the strikes.
Oh Hollywood is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
A swing and a miss from Smyth.
Smyth cracks Hollywood with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the cage! Hollywood falls to his knees and Smyth doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:43 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kris Smyth!
A very excited looking Kris Smyth made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
