PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Aki Sunn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Trent Morrow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sunn comes to the cage accompanied by Yngwie Malmsteen Rising Force. On his way into the cage it seems that Aki Sunn has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Aki Sunn seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

With a record of 19 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Trent Morrow!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Alec Ball and Steve Smith.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Morrow ducks under a wild hook from Sunn.
Morrow looks for the body kick but Sunn saw that one coming.
Sunn connects with a body shot that sends Morrow's belly button to the back.
Morrow missing with a left hand there. Sunn was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Morrow throws a big shot that misses.
Morrow slips under a jab.
Morrow misses with an attempted mid kick.
Aki Sunn seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Morrow tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Sunn throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Morrow sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Sunn takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Morrow walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

Morrow chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Sunn can pounce on him.

Sunn throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Morrow shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Morrow was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Morrow is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Morrow is trying to control the action in half guard but Sunn is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Sunn knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Morrow on the ground.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Sunn ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Morrow moves away.

Morrow tries to land a front kick but Sunn steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Sunn crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Morrow - the referee stops the clock and Sunn gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Morrow. Sunn manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
