The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Lawal, as that shot connected.
Lawal lands a head shot.
Lawal throws a hook but Kenway avoids it easily.
Lawal throws a combination. Kenway tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Kenway throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Kenway throws a right and a left that Lawal avoids nicely.
Kenway is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Kenway fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Lawal sprawls well initially but Kenway persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Kenway cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Kenway has control of Lawal's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Lawal regains control of the situation pretty easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

That was a close round but I would say that Muhammed Lawal will probably get the nod.

Kenway shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Lawal as he jumps to the side.

Lawal uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Kenway has time to react.

Lawal feints a jab promting Kenway to slip. Lawal then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Kenway slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Kenway seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Lawal is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
