The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bonnen throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Bonnen misses with a takedown attempt
and Matrix counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Matrix connects with a jab.
Bonnen tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Matrix counters with a takedown into side control.
Bonnen seems a little lost for a moment, as Matrix dominates the positioning.
Matrix advances to mount.
Bonnen knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Matrix on the ground.
Matrix landing punches.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Bonnen is working to get back to half guard.
Matrix lands a big shot there that rocks Bonnen but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Bonnen is in a horrible position here. Matrix smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Matrix lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Bonnen hang on?

It looks like Jail Bonnen has been cut.

Matrix postures up and throws a massive shot that knocks Bonnen out cold! Two more strikes to his unconscious opponent for good luck and this one is all over! Matrix goes absolutely crazy with his corner! Wow, you can see how much that win means to him!
