The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Some wild striking there from Tolonen.
Tolonen misses with a few strikes there.
Tauno Tolonen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Tolonen keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Tolonen lands with a cross.
Karelin shoots in but no luck this time.
Karelin on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Tolonen looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Karelin tries to score a power double leg takedown but Tolonen sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Karelin somewhat.

Karelin misses with a wild body shot.
Karelin takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.

A head kick misses from Karelin.
Tolonen lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Tolonen scores with a jab to the jaw.
Tolonen will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Tauno Tolonen is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Good standup being displayed there by Tolonen as he connects with a hook.
Tolonen fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Karelin on the side of the head.

Karelin dodges the punch combination from Tolonen.
Karelin takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Tolonen defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Karelin.

Karelin throws a wild hook but Tolonen just manages to duck under it and - ooooh! Karelin gets nailed by a brutal uppercut which crumples him back against the cage! The referee jumps in - Tolonen raises his hands in celebration and walks away!
