Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between John McCall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Micki Angelo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Micki Angelo is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, John McCall!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Micki Angelo!
The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Ben Zyskovitsi and Marco Blurström.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Angelo has McCall up against the cage in a clinch.
McCall is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
McCall has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
McCall gets underhooks to prevent Angelo's takedown attempt.
Angelo misses with a knee strike.
Both fighters working to control the clinch.
McCall wants to get back to striking at distance but Angelo won't allow it.
McCall wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

Angelo bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in McCall's guard.

Angelo wants to control but McCall passes into side.
Angelo is looking to reverse the position.
Angelo is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
McCall sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Angelo is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Angelo prevents McCall from improving position.
McCall tries to advance to mount but Angelo instead regains half guard.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
McCall wants to lay and pray for a moment but Angelo keeps working.

McCall is actively looking for submissions here but good counter grappling here from Angelo as he works his way to full guard.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
McCall tries to lock up and control but Angelo gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

A close round but Micki Angelo will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

McCall throws a right and a left that Angelo avoids nicely.
McCall leaves Angelo with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
McCall tries to bum rush Angelo with a series of wild strikes but Angelo uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
McCall lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
McCall lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.

Angelo shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with McCall but McCall pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Angelo closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Angelo wants to control but McCall is keeping him busy.

McCall is staying active underneath Angelo, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

That was a close second round but I would say that John McCall will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.


Angelo shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts McCall as he jumps to the side.

McCall throws out a leg kick but Angelo moves out of range and McCall only half commits.
McCall fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Angelo on the side of the head.

Angelo doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
John McCall is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Angelo is going oldschool here, as he tries to force McCall to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so McCall shrugs it off.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to John McCall.
I think McCall has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
