Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Krzysztof Ibisz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jaakko Kilpinen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jaakko Kilpinen is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Krzysztof Ibisz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jaakko Kilpinen!
The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Roosa Järviläinen and Anni Minnemäki.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ibisz takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Kilpinen takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Ibisz misses the jab.
Ibisz looks to land a left hand but Kilpinen moved out of range nicely.
Ibisz misses with a hook.
Ibisz throws a poor cross that misses
and Kilpinen counters with a good low kick that Ibisz was not able to check.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Kilpinen lands a jab to Ibisz's midsection.
Kilpinen throws a sloppy head kick and Ibisz moves out of range easily.
Ibisz looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Kilpinen tries to close the distance and clinch but Ibisz swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Ibisz swings widly with a right hand
and Kilpinen counters with a nice uppercut.
A nice inside leg kick there by Kilpinen. That's going to slow Ibisz down.
Ibisz misses with a lunging right hand
and Kilpinen counters with an outside leg kick.
Kilpinen dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Ibisz has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Kilpinen.
Ibisz is breathing heavily.

Kilpinen feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Ibiszs jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Kilpinen creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Kilpinen has the Thai plumb, controlling the head nicely. He loads up with a big knee to the head and Ibisz goes down! Kilpinen pounces into side control - this one could be over soon!


Ibisz is rocked!
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Kilpinen trying to control the position but Ibisz is working away.
Oh Ibisz is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jaakko Kilpinen dominated that round.

That's time! Ibisz's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Ibisz takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Ibisz seems to have got his legs back now.
Kilpinen fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Ibisz looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Kilpinen. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.
Kilpinen feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Ibisz's calf.
Kilpinen moves out of range of the strikes.
Kilpinen connects with a nice looking jab.

Kilpinen has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Kilpinen is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kilpinen passes into half guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Kilpinen is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Ibisz doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Kilpinen.
Kilpinen is pressing down on Ibisz's thigh, looking to free his foot. Ibisz is holding on for now.

Ibisz is refusing to be controlled, as Kilpinen sits in half guard.
Kilpinen uses his free foot to push down on Ibisz's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Ibisz.
Ibisz flailing away with punches but nothing is landing.

Kilpinen is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Kilpinen extends the arm and Ibisz is forced to tap!
