PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Maikon Muller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cevada Bacon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Maikon Muller!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Cevada Bacon!
The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Alexandre Firmino and Leandro Rodrigues.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Muller tries to clinch there but Bacon circles away.
Muller fails with an attempt to clinch.
Bacon slaps away a takedown attempt from Muller, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Bacon misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
A head kick misses from Bacon.

Muller rushes Bacon and presses him up against the cage.

Muller breaks from the clinch.
Bacon tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Bacon tries to clinch up but Muller circles away and keeps his distance.
Bacon fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Muller manages to avoid it.

Bacon manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Muller on his heels. He'll look to pass Muller's guard now, I'm sure.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Bacon got a little sloppy there for a moment and Muller has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Bacon has managed to get both his arms back between Muller's legs - danger averted.
Bacon is standing up over Muller. Muller looks to escape but Bacon dives into side control.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Muller is looking for a sweep.
Bacon taking a breather here.
Bacon trying to control the position but Muller is working away.

Bacon decides to stand back up. Bacon steps back and let's Muller get back to his feet.
Muller throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Bacon's head.
Muller moves out of range of the body kick.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Bacon wants to clinch.
Horrible takedown by Muller or perhaps it was just good defense by Bacon which made him look bad.

Muller knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Bacon on the ground.
Bacon not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Bacon slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Bacon in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... Muller is tapping! That's the end of the fight!
