Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mizuki Hata (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lance Franklin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lance Franklin will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Mizuki Hata!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Lance Franklin!
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Yuuki Gou and Hirohito Nitta.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hata tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Franklin paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Hata shoots in but Franklin avoids the takedown attempt easily.
A good leg kick by Franklin.

Franklin drops Hata with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Hata looks back up at him and smiles so Franklin waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Hata is rocked!

It looks like Mizuki Hata has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Hata takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Oh Hata is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Hata is breathing heavily.
Franklin is looking for an opening here. He's unloaded a big left hand that catches Hata flush on the jaw and sends him tumbling to the canvas! Hata is out cold! Franklin holds back from landing any unnecessary shots to his unconscious opponent, as the referee reacts slowly to the situation. A brutal knockout and then some excellent sportsmanship - this guy is my new favorite fighter!

During a confident post fight interview, Lance Franklin thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
