The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cylo shoots in for a takedown but Pettis shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Pettis closes the distance and pushes Cylo back into the cage.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Pettis is looking for a kimura but Cylo is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Pettis to get the leverage.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Pettis shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Cylo is trying to defend but Pettis finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Cylo has his foot on Pettis's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Pettis works his way back into a safe position though.

Cylo looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Pettis is defending well. Cylo quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Pettis has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Cylo celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
