The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Groove darts in and clinches RhapsodosA up against the cage.
Groove is looking for a takedown up against the cage. RhapsodosA gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Both fighters working to control the clinch.

RhapsodosA has had enough of the clinch but Groove keeps him there for the moment.

RhapsodosA breaks from the clinch.
Groove could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Groove rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but RhapsodosA moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Groove closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Groove lands in his opponent's guard.

Groove controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Groove is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

Groove decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Genesis RhapsodosA is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
RhapsodosA pulls out of a head kick attempt.
RhapsodosA looks winded!

Groove darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Groove trying to mount his opponent but RhapsodosA defends it.
RhapsodosA is in trouble now - Groove has advanced to mount!

Groove takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
A big strike lands for Groove! That's really hurt RhapsodosA and he's turned his back - Groove keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Groove jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!
