Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 20 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Schnitzer Schnitz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 10 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Mick Spanner!
The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Dmitry Maklakov and Sergei Dronov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Spanner moves into the clinch.

Spanner gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Schnitz regains guard.
Spanner throws a big elbow that misses.
Spanner is looking to work some ground and pound but Schnitz has wrist control.
Spanner throws a big right hand that misses.

Spanner gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Spanner swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Schnitz tries to score a power double leg takedown but Spanner sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Schnitz somewhat.

Schnitz tries to sprawl but Spanner drives through with a takedown into half guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Schnitz is pressing down on Spanner's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Spanner working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Schnitz controls Spanner momentarily but Spanner frees himself.
Spanner is fighting to break Schnitz's control of his arms but Schnitz is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Schnitz looking for a sweep. Not yet Schnitz, not yet.
Spanner looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Spanner with a flurry of punches that miss.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Spanner trying to control but Schnitz is working from the bottom.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Mick Spanner wasn't active enough on the ground.

Spanner changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Schnitz looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Schnitz managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Spanner.
Spanner tries to score with some ground and pound. Schnitz controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
Spanner scoring with punches and elbows.
Spanner creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Spanner cracks Schnitz with a big elbow. Oh, he's hurt! Spanner immediately mounts and start dropping bombs! Schnitz is done! The referee jumps in and saves him from any more punishment - a quick and decisive finish by Spanner!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Mick Spanner!
Mick Spanner very nearly forgot to thank Steel Penn's Laundry 93% amongst all the excitement of his win but just as the interview came to a close, he screamed their name. Hopefully he'll get a few nice freebies in the mail as a thank you.
