Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 19 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, El Senor Sox!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Mark Coleman Jr!
The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Eddie Farnsworth and Columbo Gatti.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sox displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Coleman Jr.

Coleman Jr closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Sox to the mat! Sox manages to get full guard.
Coleman Jr tries to free his leg and advance position but Sox is retaining full guard.
Coleman Jr prevents Sox from getting back to his feet.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Coleman Jr accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Sox seems keen to control Coleman Jr's posture.
Sox is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Coleman Jr is controlling him.
Coleman Jr wants to control from the top but Sox keeps moving.
Coleman Jr throws a strike but Sox rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Coleman Jr trying to keep a closed guard but Sox is proving a slippery customer.

Sox trying to control the position from guard on top but Coleman Jr is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Coleman Jr fails with the takedown.
Sox throws a lazy right hand but Coleman Jr sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Sox displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Coleman Jr.
El Senor Sox has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mark Coleman Jr.
Sox throws a series of punches but Coleman Jr avoids them all with ease.
Coleman Jr shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Sox but Sox pushes him off and we're back to square one.
El Senor Sox is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Sox keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Sox wants to clinch.
Coleman Jr shoots in but no luck this time.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Coleman Jr.

Sox clinches up with Coleman Jr and pushes him back against the cage.
Coleman Jr can't get the takedown.
Coleman Jr is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Sox to keep the fight standing.

Sox breaks the clinch.
Sox misses with a wild combination.
Coleman Jr tries to clinch but Sox is having none of it.
Coleman Jr dives in and grabs Sox's left leg, looking for a takedown. Sox pushes down on Coleman Jr's head and hops out.
Sox lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
A looping hook to the body misses from Sox. Coleman Jr does a little dance to reset his feet.
Coleman Jr shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Sox defends it nicely.
Coleman Jr on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Sox misses with a body shot.
Sox throws an overhand right that lands on Coleman Jr's shoulder, as Coleman Jr tries to avoid the shot.
Coleman Jr is trying hard to land a takedown here. Sox sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Coleman Jr jabs at Sox's body.
Both fighters circle each other, looking for something big. Sox moves in and throws an overhand right. That hurt Coleman Jr! Sox continues to tee off on Coleman Jr, landing with a left and a right! Sox connects with a right hand that leaves Coleman Jr sleeping against the cage! What a finish by Sox!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). El Senor Sox!
El Senor Sox very nearly forgot to thank Cyclone Nutrition Company amongst all the excitement of his win but just as the interview came to a close, he screamed their name. Hopefully he'll get a few nice freebies in the mail as a thank you.
