PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sir Smokealot (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frank Marko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Frank Marko!
The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Columbo Gatti and Jonathan Paton.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smokealot scores with a nice right hand.

Smokealot gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Marko tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Smokealot breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Smokealot tries a head kick but it misses.
Smokealot lands an overhand right.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Smokealot fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Marko shoots in but Smokealot avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Smokealot takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.

Smokealot lands a big shot that drops Marko! Can he finish him?

Marko is rocked!
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

Smokealot is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Smokealot drops back looking for a leg! Marko is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Marko manages to kick Smokealot off! Smokealot jumps back into Marko's guard.

Smokealot drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Smokealot jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Marko had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Smokealot defends it easily.
Smokealot forces his way into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Smokealot is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Marko is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!

A relieved looking Sir Smokealot thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
