The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight stays on the outside here - Purcell looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Purcell goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Dominic Purcell seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Strangeness throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
A chopping leg kick lands by Strangeness.
Strangeness pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.

enabling Strangeness to counter with a crisp jab.

It looks like Dominic Purcell has been cut.
Purcell takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Strangeness tries to close the distance and clinch up but Purcell swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Purcell shoots in and drives through. Strangeness sprawls well.
Strangeness tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Purcell is able to avoid easily.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Strangeness scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

Strangeness drops Purcell with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Purcell looks back up at him and smiles so Strangeness waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Purcell is rocked!
Strangeness weaves into range and cracks Purcell right on the temple with a beautiful overhand right! Purcell goes down! He's out cold! Wow, what a beautiful knockout! Strangeness is strutting round the canvas like a movie star as the camera bulbs flash frantically.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). High Strangeness!
