Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Steve Williams!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Tiny Johnson and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Williams lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.


It looks like Pint Johnson has been cut.
Johnson shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Williams as he jumps to the side.
Williams throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Johnson's waist but Johnson gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Williams off to one side.
Johnson misses with a few strikes there.
Johnson defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Williams.
Johnson misses with a leg kick.
Williams shoots in but Johnson avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Pint Johnson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Steve Williams.
Johnson fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Williams shoots in looking for a takedown. Johnson tries to sprawl out of it but Williams keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Johnson manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Johnson could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Williams lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Johnson!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Johnson avoids a series of strikes thrown by Williams.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Williams throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.

Williams dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Johnson. That did some damage!

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Johnson is keeping busy.

Williams is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Johnson has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.
Johnson is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Williams.

Williams has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Johnson has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

Williams has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Johnson is squirming around, avoiding Williams's attempts to control the action.
Johnson tries to reverse the position but Williams maintains control.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Steve Williams comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Williams has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
