Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Vanden Plas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Banner Bo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
That kick from Plas tenderised Bo's leg. Bo is trying to keep his angry face on.

Bo manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Plas on his heels. He'll look to pass Plas's guard now, I'm sure.
Plas preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Plas pulls Bo in to control the position.
Bo is looking to work some ground and pound but Plas has wrist control.
Plas is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Bo actively working from the bottom here.
Bo is pressing down on Plas's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Bo is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Plas tries to free his leg and advance position but Bo is retaining full guard.
Bo is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Plas is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Bo had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Plas defends it easily.
Bo looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Plas controls from within his opponent's guard.

Bo working for a triangle but Plas defends it easily.
Plas wants to stand but Bo has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Plas has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Bo working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Plas doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Plas manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

We're going to have a standup here because Vanden Plas wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Plas steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Bo.
Good leg kick by Plas there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Bo connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.

It looks like Vanden Plas has been cut.
Plas displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Bo.
Bo throws a nice looking combination but Plas bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Plas lands a big head kick that sends Bo tumbling to the mat! Plas takes a step backwards and waves Bo back to his feet - he wants the finish!

It looks like Banner Bo has been cut.

Bo drops Plas with a beautiful combination! Plas stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Bo is looking for the KO!

Plas is rocked!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Bo is throwing a storm of strikes! Right hook, left hook and follows it up with a spinning back fist! Plas hits the canvas like a rag doll! And just like that, this one is over!
