The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
De Matos lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
De Matos blocks the body kick.
Nakamura uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before De Matos has time to react.
Nakamura misses with a low kick.
Nakamura misses the shot to the body.
The fighters circling - Nakamura throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
De Matos throws a head kick that looked like it stung.

It looks like Hiro Nakamura has been cut.
Nakamura avoids the head kick by De Matos.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Donk. De Matos catches Nakamura right on the button with a cross.
Nakamura walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. De Matos checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
De Matos getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
De Matos fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Nakamura looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Nakamura swings away with a leg kick that misses.

That's one minute gone in the round.
De Matos lands with a kick to the ribs.
Moacyr Domingos De Matos is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Nakamura moves out of range of the strikes.

De Matos cracks Nakamura with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Nakamura looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can De Matos finish him?

Nakamura is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Nakamura glances at the clock... BAM! De Matos nails him with a big right hand! A momentary lapse in concentration sends Nakamura crashing to the mat! The referee steps in and this one is over! Damn, Nakamura is out of it, he thinks the ref is his opponent!
