Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Daniel Cesar and Emerson Jorge.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boran tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
The fighters circling - Bakhtin throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Bakhtin lands a body shot.
A big right from Bakhtin misses.
Bakhtin swinging wildly here.
Boran slips a jab from Bakhtin.
Boran looks to throw the jab but Bakhtin is out of range.

Boran throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Boran fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Bakhtin to the ground. Boran is now in Bakhtin's guard.
Boran slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Bakhtin is looking to stand up but Boran isn't so interested in that idea.
Boran wants to control from the top but Bakhtin keeps moving.
Bakhtin controls Boran momentarily but Boran frees himself.

Cassius Boran has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Boran stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Boran is looking to slow Bakhtin down with leg kicks.
Boran does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Bakhtin leaves Boran with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Boran walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Bakhtin checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Boran scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

Boran is looking for the mount but instead finds himself back in full guard.
Boran is pushing down on Bakhtin's leg trying to pass to half guard. Bakhtin is fighting to maintain full guard but Boran has managed to sneak the leg through.
Boran is trying to control the action in half guard but Bakhtin is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Bakhtin knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Boran on the ground.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Some bone on bone action there as Bakhtin checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.

Boran is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Bakhtin's half guard.
Boran is pressing down on Bakhtin's thigh, looking to free his foot. Bakhtin is holding on for now.

Boran is keen to just control but Bakhtin is a slippery customer.
Boran frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Boran can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Bakhtin is looking to escape.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Bakhtin tries to hold on but Boran postures up.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Boran wants to control the pace but Bakhtin is squirming around nicely.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Cassius Boran dominated that round.
That's time! Bakhtin's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Boran throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Bakhtin's waist but Bakhtin gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Boran off to one side.
Boran shoots in but no luck this time.
Bakhtin moves into range and connects with a jab.
Boran keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Bakhtin connects with a body shot that sends Boran's belly button to the back.
Bakhtin thows a body shot but no joy.
Boran shoots in but Bakhtin avoids the takedown attempt easily.
VortzU Bakhtin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Cassius Boran.
Bakhtin misses the shot to the body.
Boran throws a nice looking combination but Bakhtin bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Boran slips a jab and a cross from Bakhtin.

Boran uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Bakhtin.

Boran is looking to score with low kicks.
Bakhtin looks to score with a jab to the body but Boran is just out of range.
Bakhtin tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Boran was well out of range. Poor timing from Bakhtin.
Boran shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Bakhtin tries to get to full guard but Boran has control of the leg.

Bakhtin seems a little lost for a moment, as Boran dominates the positioning.
Boran passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Bakhtin!

Bakhtin holds on for dear life, controlling Boran's posture momentarily.
BOOM! Boran connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Boran wants to take his opponent's back but he's not managed it.
Boran fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Cassius Boran has got the better of the ground game so far.

Boran takes Bakhtin's back. Could be looking for a rear naked choke here - either way, Bakhtin is in trouble.
Bakhtin is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Boran gets his way!

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Boran is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Bakhtin has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Boran has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Bakhtin taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Boran doesn't care though - he's delighted!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:27 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Cassius Boran!
