Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Abner Grayson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Zacharia Temeluchus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Abner Grayson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Zacharia Temeluchus!
The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, John Roberts and Dean Styles.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Temeluchus fails to land the takedown.
Grayson uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Temeluchus.

Grayson shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Grayson showed some decent athleticism there.
Temeluchus is looking for a sweep. Grayson is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Grayson wants to free his trapped foot but Temeluchus is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Temeluchus looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.

Grayson looking for a submission but Temeluchus manages to get full guard, putting an end to that submission attempt.
Grayson is looking to work some ground and pound but Temeluchus has wrist control.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Temeluchus had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Grayson is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Temeluchus Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Grayson's back instead.
Grayson tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!
Grayson is looking to improve his position but Temeluchus isn't that keen on the idea.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Grayson is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Temeluchus pulls his head out easily.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Temeluchus is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Grayson is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Temeluchus's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Temeluchus's back!

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Temeluchus drops his hands momentarily and Grayson takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

Grayson decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Temeluchus working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Grayson doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Grayson manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Grayson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Temeluchus swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Grayson has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Temeluchus is proving hard to escape from.
Grayson tries to free his leg and advance position but Temeluchus is retaining full guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Temeluchus is on top in guard.
Grayson is trying to keep Temeluchus in close.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Grayson manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Grayson is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Temeluchus can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Temeluchus stops Grayson from taking his back. Still, being mounted isn't any better.

Temeluchus tries to lock up and control but Grayson gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Temeluchus drops down looking for an ankle pick but Grayson pulls his leg out and moves away.
Temeluchus takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Grayson drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Grayson lands a couple of decent looking shots.

Grayson controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Grayson wants to control from the top but Temeluchus keeps moving.
Temeluchus wants to sweep but no luck.

Abner Grayson overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Well Grayson has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
