Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ted Smith!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sub Mityou !
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Gwen Towbar and Wesley Smith.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Mityou shoots in but no luck this time.
Mityou throws a big shot that misses.
Mityou shoots for a double leg takedown but Smith sprawls well. He's pushed Mityou 's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Mityou misses with a kick to the body
and Smith counters with a straight right hand.
Mityou walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Mityou shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Smith counters with a nice uppercut.
Ted Smith has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sub Mityou .

Smith has managed to clinch.

Smith breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Mityou fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Smith avoids it really well and circles away.
Smith scores with a one two! Mityou had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

and Smith counters with a two punch combo.
Smith stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Smith wants it to stay on the feet.
Mityou moves in looking to clinch but Smith pushes him off.
Smith works over Mityou 's head and body with a nice combination.
Mityou on the wrong end of a nice jab.

A nice left hand lands by Smith.
Smith lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Mityou backwards.

A punch lands to the side of Mityou 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Smith throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Mityou looks to land a combination but Smith avoids it well.
Mityou fails with an attempt to clinch.
Smith connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.

Smith lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Mityou takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Mityou tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Smith manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Smith avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

Mityou shoots in and bounces Smith off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

Mityou avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Smith manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Mityou avoids a series of strikes thrown by Smith.
Mityou holds on for dear life, controlling Smith's posture momentarily.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Smith can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Mityou is looking to escape.

Smith has control of Mityou 's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Mityou regains control of the situation pretty easily.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Mityou avoids a series of strikes thrown by Smith.

Mityou tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Smith swivels and escapes.
Mityou wants to clinch up but Smith keeps it at a distance.

Mityou throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Smith's waist but Smith gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Mityou off to one side.
Mityou is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Smith lands a lovely overhand right.
Mityou will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Mityou closes the distance and clinches up with Smith, looking for a takedown. Mityou pushes Smith against the cage but Smith circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Smith slaps away a takedown attempt from Mityou , before circling back to the center of the mat.
Smith moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Mityou throws out a token jab with nothing on it.

Mityou is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Smith turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Smith manages to end up in side control.
Smith is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Mityou can do to turn this around?
