Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Seamus O Donnell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michael Crichton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). O Donnell's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Fields of Athenry. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Seamus O Donnell!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Michael Crichton!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, George Francis and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Crichton misses the shot to the body.
O Donnell looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
O Donnell changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Crichton tries to avoid it but O Donnell manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Crichton to the ground. Crichton escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
O Donnell misses with a body shot.
O Donnell shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Crichton as he jumps to the side.
O Donnell falls off balance throwing a combination
and Crichton counters with a lovely straight right hand!
O Donnell ducks under a wild hook from Crichton.
Crichton tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but O Donnell paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Crichton fails in his attempt to clinch.
O Donnell throws a looping overhand right but Crichton ducks down to avoid it.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by O Donnell.
O Donnell throws a head kick but Crichton moves out of range.
O Donnell throws a shot from downtown. Crichton moves away and avoids it.

O Donnell tries to sprawl but Crichton drives through with a takedown into half guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
O Donnell regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Crichton.
Crichton throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.

O Donnell is adopting a defensive guard.
O Donnell is trying to control the position but Crichton postures up.
Crichton postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Seamus O Donnell just wasn't active enough.
O Donnell misses the shot to the body.

Crichton takes the fight into the clinch.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.

O Donnell slips under a jab from Crichton.
O Donnell with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
No joy there for O Donnell, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
O Donnell keeps the fight on the outside.
O Donnell takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
O Donnell looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Crichton is fending him off so far but O Donnell persists. Nope, Crichton circles away and we're back to standing.

Crichton decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Crichton stalling away here and it's allowed O Donnell to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Crichton drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and O Donnell dives on top into guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Seamus O Donnell seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

O Donnell got a little sloppy there for a moment and Crichton has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, O Donnell has managed to get both his arms back between Crichton's legs - danger averted.

Michael Crichton is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
O Donnell throws a low kick but it's checked well by Crichton.

And that's the end of the fight!
Michael Crichton comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Crichton has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
