Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Gregers Westerberg!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Chris Downing and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Westerberg shoots in looking for a takedown. Rottie tries to sprawl out of it but Westerberg keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Rottie manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Westerberg.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

Westerberg tries for a kimura but Rottie is defending well.

Westerberg thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Rottie's coaches at Personal Training have been working on his defensive grappling in preparation for this fight so let's see if he can get out of this tricky position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Rottie is looking to regain half guard here but Westerberg keeps moving and retains side control.

Westerberg is trying to get an arm triangle but Rottie is defending well.
Rottie tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Rottie tries to buck Westerberg off but Westerberg is having none of it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Westerberg looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.

Westerberg is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Rottie knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Rottie wants to control but Westerberg postures up.
Rottie knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Westerberg on the ground.
Rottie is looking to reverse the position.

Westerberg thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Westerberg has hold of Rottie's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Rottie tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Westerberg cranks the arm and Rottie screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Rottie, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Gregers Westerberg!
A relieved looking Gregers Westerberg thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
