Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gyawang Lhad (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ryan Conway (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lhad comes to the cage accompanied by Iced Earth - Anthem. Conway has chosen Money in The Bank as his entrance music. Gyawang Lhad has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Conway shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Lhad counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Lhad connects with a couple of short punches.
Conway utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Conway wants to stand but Lhad is controlling the position.
Lhad is looking to stand up but Conway won't let him.
Lhad prevents Conway from getting back to his feet.

Lhad decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Conway has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Conway shoots in and drives through. Lhad sprawls well.

Lhad fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Conway to the ground. Lhad is now in Conway's guard.
Conway utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Lhad is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

Lhad wants to stand but Conway is controlling his posture from full guard.
Lhad throws an elbow that misses. Conway uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Lhad's guard. Nice move by Conway!

Conway drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Conway jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Lhad is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Lhad utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Ryan Conway hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Conway has a takedown stuffed.
Gyawang Lhad has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ryan Conway.

Lhad cracks Conway with an open hand slap.

It looks like Ryan Conway has been cut.
Lhad tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Conway avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Conway shoots in looking for a takedown but Lhad manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Conway's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Conway swats away the attempt to clinch by Lhad.

Lhad dives in and scores a takedown into Conway's guard.
Lhad postures up in Conway's guard and throws a big left but Conway blocks it.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Conway is on top in guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Conway is looking to work some ground and pound but Lhad has wrist control.

Hammerfist, elbow! yells Conway's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Conway wants to control from the top but Lhad keeps moving.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Conway content to stall in guard here.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Conway prevents Lhad from getting back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Conway uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Lhad.
Lhad definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Conway takes a kick to the side of the head.
Conway gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Lhad counters with a nice leg kick.
Lhad motions for Conway to come forward. Lhad throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Conway.
Conway on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Conway shoots in but no luck this time.
Gyawang Lhad has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ryan Conway.
Lhad plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Conway shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Lhad sprawls well. Lhad wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Conway gets slowly back to his feet.
Conway is trying desperately to land a takedown but Lhad is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Conway.
Lhad batters Conway with a massive right followed by a huge left! Conway is out on his feet looking like a zombie as Lhad lands a final crushing right hand to drop Conway to the mat with a gruesome thud! Lhad is running around like a mad man after that fight and for good reason!
