Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Frank Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Blake Elliet Junior Shnitkey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Smith comes to the cage accompanied by Redman - Da goodness. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Junior Shnitkey has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

and Smith counters with a three punch combo that has Junior Shnitkey backing up. Junior Shnitkey nods at Smith to acknowledge the strikes.
Smith feints and as Junior Shnitkey raises his hands in defense, Smith changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Junior Shnitkey is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Junior Shnitkey looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Smith with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Junior Shnitkey stalling away here and it's allowed Smith to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.
Junior Shnitkey would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Blake Elliet Junior Shnitkey is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

and Smith lands a stunning uppercut that sends Junior Shnitkey to the mat!

Smith maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Junior Shnitkey could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Smith has cracked it and Junior Shnitkey is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Smith!
