The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice takedown defense from Crop. No joy for St Pierre on that attempt.

St Pierre tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Crop swivels and escapes.

Crop throws a head kick but St Pierre moves out of range.

St Pierre feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Crop wants to stand but St Pierre is controlling the position.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

St Pierre drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Crop manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now St Pierre has Crop in his guard.

St Pierre had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Crop defends it easily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

St Pierre has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Crop can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Crop wants to get up but he can't break St Pierre's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Crop has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Crop trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.

Crop has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing St Pierre to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Crop is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - St Pierre pulls down on the head and he's put Crop to sleep! This one is all over!
