Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Derek Osland (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kazushi Yamazawa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Yamazawa has chosen Avicii - Silhouettes as his entrance music. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Kazushi Yamazawa!
The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Donatello Bradman and John Mangel.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yamazawa tries to score a power double leg takedown but Osland sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Yamazawa somewhat.
Osland looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Yamazawa shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Osland counters with a two punch combo.
Yamazawa on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Yamazawa shoots in for a double leg but Osland sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Derek Osland has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kazushi Yamazawa.

Yamazawa is nestled in close to Osland, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Osland knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Yamazawa on the ground.

Yamazawa decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.
Derek Osland seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Yamazawa takes the fight into the clinch.
Yamazawa is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Osland gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Yamazawa shoots for a double leg takedown but Osland sprawls well. He's pushed Yamazawa's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Osland on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Osland tries to get out of the position.

Osland looking to hit a scissor sweep but Yamazawa is one step ahead there.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Kazushi Yamazawa showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Yamazawa closes the distance and clinches up with Osland, looking for a takedown. Yamazawa pushes Osland against the cage but Osland circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Yamazawa takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Yamazawa shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Osland as he jumps to the side.
Yamazawa tries for a takedown but Osland sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Yamazawa tries to close the distance and clinch but Osland swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Osland lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

Osland throws a leg kick but Yamazawa sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Osland throws a low kick but Yamazawa avoids it.

and Yamazawa counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Osland's guard now.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Yamazawa is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Osland is just riding it out for now. Yamazawa eventually gives up the hold.
