Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Joey Gomez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Douglas Quaid (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Joey Gomez is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Joey Gomez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Douglas Quaid!
The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Paulsen Ambrosius and Patrick Alders.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Quaid throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Joey Gomez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Gomez closes the distance and clinches.
Quaid tries for a takedown. No joy.
Gomez jumps guard but Quaid stands there with Gomez around his waist. Gomez gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Quaid is pressed up against the cage. Gomez has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Quaid down to the mat. Quaid avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Quaid rushes Gomez and presses him up against the cage.
Gomez jumps guard but Quaid turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Joey Gomez. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Gomez is looking to take this one to the mat.
Quaid changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Gomez fights it off and pushes away nicely.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Quaid is defended easily by Gomez.
Gomez fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Quaid checks it well.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Quaid closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Gomez quickly recovers to half guard.
Quaid is thwarting Gomez's attempts to control the position.
Gomez has hold of Quaid's hands but Quaid slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Gomez knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Quaid on the ground.

Quaid wants to work for an arm triangle but Gomez is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Quaid maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Gomez could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Quaid has cracked it and Gomez is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Quaid!
