The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
El Cid throws a jab when Stratus was well out of range.
Stratus cracks the inside of El Cid's front leg.
El Cid takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
El Cid tries to work over Stratus's front leg with a kick but Stratus checks it.
Stratus misses with an attempted mid kick.
Stratus swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Stratus ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Stratus lands a right hook to the body.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
El Cid throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Stratus is looking to chop away at El Cid's legs.
Jay Stratus seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
El Cid connects with a looping right hand.
El Cid checks a low kick from Stratus.
Stratus throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
El Cid gets caught by a big overhand right and goes down! Stratus gets on top of him and starts throwing some serious punches until the ref intervenes and stops the fight!
