Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Chuck WIlson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sylvain Sauvage (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Chuck WIlson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Sylvain Sauvage!
The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Emerson Jorge and Daniel Cesar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sauvage fakes high and swings low for a body shot but WIlson manages to avoid it.
Sauvage lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Sauvage throws a head kick but WIlson moves out of range.

Sauvage moves into the clinch successfully.

Sauvage breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
WIlson tries to clinch but Sauvage is having none of it.
Sauvage avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Sauvage throws out a powerful jab.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Sauvage!
Sauvage looks for the body kick but WIlson saw that one coming.

WIlson is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Sauvage creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Sauvage shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts WIlson as he jumps to the side.
WIlson tries to close the distance and clinch up but Sauvage swats him away and circles back towards the center.

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Sauvage takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

WIlson gets tackled into the cage by Sauvage. Sauvage maintains the clinch.
This has been an exciting period of action!

WIlson is fighting off a takedown attempt but Sauvage is just too persistent for him and manages to trip WIlson to the mat. WIlson regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Sauvage throws a strike aimed at the side of WIlson's head but WIlson avoids it well.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Sauvage looks up at the clock and then as WIlson takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Sauvage smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

You can see the frustration on WIlson's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

WIlson grimaces as he takes a shot to the body.
Sauvage lands with a couple of good shots - one to the side of the head and one questionable shot that could be viewed as to the back of the head but the referee lets it go.

Sauvage is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

WIlson does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Sauvage fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and WIlson has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Well Sauvage has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
