Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Ignatius Loyola (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Freezy Bahamut (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ignatius Loyola!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Freezy Bahamut!
The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Emerson Jorge and Daniel Cesar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck with that takedown attempt from Loyola.
Loyola tries to clinch but Bahamut moves out of range.
Bahamut closes this distance looking for a takedown but Loyola circles away.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Loyola crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Bahamut - the referee stops the clock and Loyola gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Bahamut. Loyola manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Loyola gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Bahamut defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Loyola.
Loyola tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Bahamut counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Bahamut throws a low kick but it's checked well by Loyola.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Loyola fails in his attempt to clinch.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Loyola.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ignatius Loyola. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Bahamut swinging wildly here.

Bahamut has managed to clinch.

Bahamut manages to break the clinch.
Bahamut shoots in looking for a takedown. Loyola tries to sprawl out of it but Bahamut keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Loyola manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
The fight stays on the outside here - Loyola looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Loyola throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Bahamut's waist but Bahamut gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Loyola off to one side.
Bahamut keeps Loyola at a distance using the push kick.
Bahamut shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Loyola sprawls well. Loyola wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Bahamut gets slowly back to his feet.
Loyola shoots in but no luck this time.
Loyola shoots in for a double leg but Bahamut sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Bahamut misses with the body kick
and Loyola counters with a nice body kick.
Loyola dives in and grabs Bahamut's left leg, looking for a takedown. Bahamut pushes down on Loyola's head and hops out.
Bahamut slaps away a takedown attempt from Loyola, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Bahamut throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Loyola.
Loyola feints and then cracks Bahamut's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Bahamut down.
Bahamut throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.

Bahamut gets a clinch.
A frustrated look appears on Loyola's face as he tries to break the clinch.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Bahamut ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Bahamut no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Loyola is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Bahamut is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Bahamut has escaped and now he's on top!

Bahamut gets to his feet - Loyola follows without any prompting.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Loyola looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Bahamut shoots for a double leg takedown but Loyola sprawls well. He's pushed Bahamut's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Freezy Bahamut dominated that round.
That's time! Loyola's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Loyola closes this distance looking for a takedown but Bahamut circles away.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Loyola tries to land knees in the clinch but Bahamut avoids the damage to the body.
Knees to the body from Loyola.

Bahamut breaks from the clinch.
Loyola tries to score a power double leg takedown but Bahamut sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Loyola somewhat.
Loyola fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ignatius Loyola. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Bahamut shoots in but Loyola avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Bahamut clinches.
Loyola wants to break the clinch but can't.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
Maybe Loyola would be better served going for some more strikes rather than trying to control so much.

Bahamut jumps guard and drags Loyola to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Bahamut is pulling down on Loyola's head to control his posture.

Loyola wants to pass the guard but Bahamut is keeping the position.
Loyola content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Loyola throws a big right hand that misses.
Loyola passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Bahamut really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Loyola. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Bahamut sneaks back into half guard.
Bahamut is looking for a sweep. Loyola is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Bahamut manages to get to full guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Loyola trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Loyola prevents Bahamut from getting back to his feet.
Loyola in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Loyola chips away with some ground and pound.
Bahamut is breathing heavily.
Loyola trying to control the position from guard on top but Bahamut is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Loyola is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Bahamut is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Loyola with a flurry of punches that miss.

Loyola wants to control from the top but Bahamut keeps moving.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Ignatius Loyola just wasn't active enough.
Loyola shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Bahamut as he avoids it easily.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Loyola fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Bahamut displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Loyola.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ignatius Loyola dominated that second round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!


Loyola is trying hard to land a takedown here. Bahamut sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Ignatius Loyola is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Loyola on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.

Bahamut closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Bahamut drops down looking for an ankle pick but Loyola pulls his leg out and moves away.

Bahamut throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Loyola tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Bahamut is in Loyola's guard.

Bahamut trying to control the position from guard on top but Loyola is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Loyola working a defensive guard but Bahamut manages to pass into side control anyway.

Bahamut staying calm.
Bahamut working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter.
Loyola manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!

Loyola trying to control the action but Bahamut is working from the bottom.
Loyola thows a huge punch but Bahamut dodges it nicely.
Ignatius Loyola overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Bahamut is trying to get back to full guard.
Loyola thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Loyola throwing shots but Bahamut is blocking nicely.
Bahamut is positioning himself well to prevent Loyola advancing to mount.
Bahamut is not content to let Loyola control the position.

Loyola working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Loyola seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Bahamut is looking to improve his position.
Bahamut takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Bahamut is trying to stand.

Loyola seems to be working for a kimura but Bahamut defends the submission attempt.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Bahamut pushes Loyola off looking to stand but Loyola dives back in and keeps control.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Freezy Bahamut.
I think Bahamut has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
