Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Mihail Kitarski!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Turbo Taines!
The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Roger Salmon and Jeff Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Taines is looking to clinch.
Taines misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Mihail Kitarski seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kitarski tries to clinch up but Taines circles away and keeps his distance.
Kitarski tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Kitarski tries to land a leg kick but Taines saw it coming and moves away.

Taines is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Kitarski's half guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Taines changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Kitarski looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Taines fails to advance to Kitarski's back.

Kitarski is really trying hard to get back to his feet.
Kitarski is breathing heavily.

Taines lands a big elbow.

Taines tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Kitarski really wants to buck Taines off and get back to his feet.
Taines controlling the position easily from mount.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

Taines wants to finish this one by submission but Kitarski is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Taines.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Taines shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Kitarski manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Taines postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Kitarski will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Taines sitting in guard here, content to control.
Taines lands a couple of decent looking shots.

Taines gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Kitarski fails with an attempt to clinch.
Kitarski misses with an attempted mid kick.
Taines misses with a body punch

and Kitarski holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Taines tries to break free but Kitarski pushes him back against the cage.
Taines has had enough of the clinch but Kitarski keeps him there for the moment.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
Taines will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Kitarski up against the cage.

Kitarski's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Taines tries to keep at a distance but Kitarski has taken the fight into the clinch.
Kitarski tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Taines's elbow.
Kitarski is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.
Taines is trying to push Kitarski away but Kitarski has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

Kitarski breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Taines tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Kitarski paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Kitarski fails with an attempt to clinch.

Kitarski has managed to clinch.
Taines tries to pull guard but Kitarski forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Taines wants to stall.
Taines tries to break free but Kitarski pushes him back against the cage.
Taines can't break the clinch.
Kitarski blocks a couple of punches on the inside.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Kitarski breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Taines closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Kitarski to the mat! Kitarski manages to get full guard.
Kitarski wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Taines manages to pass to side control.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Taines in particular looking to stall.

Taines decides to stand and escape the position.

Taines closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Kitarski knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Taines on the ground.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Taines is looking for a kimura here.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Taines keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
Taines drops an elbow to the side of Kitarski's head.
Kitarski taking some punishment here, with Taines in his half guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Taines is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Kitarski is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
