The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Hugh Johnson and Winston Howard.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
O Brien has a takedown stuffed.
Burns misses with a body shot.
Burns throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent O Brien stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Burns cracks the inside of O Brien 's front leg.
A swing and a miss from O Brien .
O Brien fails with the takedown.
O Brien will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Brewster Burns has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Donnie O Brien .
Burns pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces O Brien back to the cage. Burns follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
O Brien drives through with a takedown into Burns's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Burns is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Burns is trying to keep O Brien in close.

O Brien is sitting in close to Burns's body. Burns has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! O Brien is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, O Brien is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Burns.
