Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jon Manley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tim Perry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tim Perry has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jon Manley !
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tim Perry!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Wesley Smith and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Perry shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Manley is trying to defend but Perry finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Perry thows a huge punch but Manley dodges it nicely.

Perry gets to his feet - back to striking we go!
Manley shoots in for a takedown but Perry shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Manley fails with a takedown attempt.

Perry drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Perry is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Perry postures up in Manley 's guard and throws a big left but Manley blocks it.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Perry advances to half guard.
Manley is trying to get back to full guard.
Perry throwing shots but Manley is blocking nicely.
Perry with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
Perry works his way into side control.
Perry lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Manley down.
Perry cracks Manley with a big elbow.
Manley trying to remain calm as Perry controls from the top position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Perry working away.
Perry sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Manley is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.

Perry tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Perry has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Perry happy to just control the position for now.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Manley sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Perry trying to mount his opponent but Manley defends it.
Perry takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Perry tries to pass to full mount but Manley defends it.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Perry decides to stand and escape the position.
Manley shoots in and drives through. Perry sprawls well.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jon Manley . That's going to take a lot out of him.
Perry avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Manley fails with a takedown attempt.
Manley is breathing heavily.

Perry is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Manley 's half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Perry works his foot free and advances to mount.
Manley is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Perry takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
It looks like Perry might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tim Perry dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Perry swats away the attempt to clinch by Manley .
Perry throws a hook but Manley blocks it.
Manley with a poor takedown

and Perry counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Perry.

Perry manages to break the clinch.
Manley shoots in looking for a takedown. Perry tries to sprawl out of it but Manley keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Perry manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Manley wants to clinch.

Perry shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Perry was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Perry landing punches.
Perry lands a big shot there that rocks Manley but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Perry controlling the position easily from mount.

Perry working for a guillotine from mount but Manley is in no mood to give up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Manley tries to reverse the position but Perry maintains control.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Perry pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Perry looking to control and managing it successfully.
Perry in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Perry stands up from mount. Strange move.
Manley avoids the body shot from Perry.

Perry darts in and clinches Manley up against the cage.
Perry lands with a light punch inside.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Manley has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Perry gets a trip takedown into half guard.
Perry throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Perry is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Manley trying to control from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Perry is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Perry moves into full mount! Manley won't be happy about that!
Perry controlling the pace for now.

Manley looking to escape from mount but he's given up his back!

Perry has got one arm under Manley 's chin. This could be trouble... Manley trying to control the other hand but Perry gets it free and sqeezes tight - just a matter of time now! Yep, Manley has tapped out! The fight is over!
