The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alonso on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.

and Alonso counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Alonso.
Bennett tries to score a body lock takedown but Alonso shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Alonso bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Bennett's guard.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Brad Bennett hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Alonso. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
Bennett lands with a nice body punch.

Oh Alonso is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Bennett has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Alonso after a bit of a struggle.

Bennett is in full mount looking to finish with strikes. He lands a big shot, followed by another and Alonso goes limp! The ref jumps in to end the fight - a big win for Bennett!

Brad Bennett spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
